That’s it. No fancy recipe here. Drizzle raspberries with honey. Eat and enjoy. The simplest dessert ever. The honey is a beautiful complement to the tartness of the raspberries. This in-season fresh “dessert” is simple and healthy. Raspberries are full of unique combinations of flavonoids and cancer-fighting phytonutrients like ellagic acid, and they’re high in vitamins and antioxidants that help protect against free-radical damage within the body.
Yesterday was a rainy, cold day in Seattle (as it has been all week) so we had a hard time getting ourselves out the door early, which ended up being a good thing because when we got to the Farmer’s Market in its last hour we scored “The Final Hour Rainy Day Special” – $10 for 6 pints of raspberries! So if this dessert is a bit too simple for you, next up raspberry scones.
