Recycled Potato Chip Wrappers

This colorful catchall basket and these potato chip trash baskets were made from used potato chip wrappers picked up from the streets of Nepal. The bags are cleaned, then wrapped around dried grasses and woven into sturdy baskets. Each product varies slightly due to the handmade nature of the craft.

500 Vietnamese and Nepalese are employed by The SPIRAL Foundation with fair wages to manufacture these baskets. The proceeds that are generated by producing these handicrafts go back into the community to finance humanitarian aid projects that include primary health care, medical, and educational projects.
