T-Shirts Upcycled into Laptop Sleeves

Do you have an old T-shirt that you never wear but can’t seem to part with? Well, the folks at New York-based Hello Rewind are willing to turn your T-shirt into a laptop sleeve for you.

You mail in your T-shirt, they sew it up with batting, felt and velcro, and will mail you back your shirt reincarnated as a one-of-a-kind laptop sleeve.

It’s a bit pricey at $49, especially considering they’re using your T-shirt, but Hello Rewind also has a social enterprise that works with women formerly sex trafficked in New York City so they can learn new skills and support themselves. I’m always willing to spend a bit more for a good cause if I can afford it. Aside from the high cost, one issue is that their laptop sleeves are currently only tailored for Mac laptops, although they say non-Mac laptops might fit the dimensions (check their website for more details).

So if you have a Mac laptop, money isn’t a huge issue for you, and you want to support recycling, sustainability, and assist sex-trafficking victims, this might be a worthwhile option for you. If this doesn’t sound like your thing, consider the laptop sleeves made from 100% salvaged wetsuit material from my earlier post.

I’ll try to have a post for you on eco-friendly iPhone case options this week.
