NYC Subway Artist, Joseph

If you live in NYC and see this man in the subway stops (normally at 8th Ave/14th St stop), take some time to check out his artwork, have a bit of a chat with him. His name is Joseph and he’s a sweet man that could just use some positive energy his way.

He’s been an artist for 30 years, but started selling his drawings in 2002. When we first moved to New York City, we saw some of his colorful drawings in the apartment of our friends. Months later we had our own collection.  Joseph draws and colors with crayons on paper glued to cardboard backing, and the theme is always “space invaders attack NYC.” We love the space invaders in New York theme and appreciate his creative approach to generating income.
